Changing The Text Case

This tutorial will uncover Microsoft Word Change cases like Upper Case, Lower Case, Sentence Case, Capitalize Each Word Case, and Toggle Case Options.

In Microsoft Word, you can easily change the text case of your selected text or an entire paragraph using different options. Here’s how to do it:

Select Your Text

The first step in our enchanting journey is to select the text you want to transform. Simply click and drag your cursor over the words or sentences that you wish to change. And just like that, your text is ready to embrace its new form!

Change Text Case: On the Home Tab in the Ribbon at the top of the Word window, you’ll find the “Aa” button in the Font group.

Upper Case

If you want your text to make an Upper case statement, turning it into ALL CAPS is the way to go.

To do this, head over to the “Home” tab, and in the “Font” group, you’ll find the “Aa” button with an up arrow. Click on it, and your text will immediately transform into magnificent uppercase letters.

Lower Case

Sometimes, lowercase text can add an air of calm and simplicity to your work. To change your text to all lowercase, select it again, head back to the “Home” tab, and click on the “Aa” button with a down arrow. Voilà! Your text is now in its lowercase glory.

Sentence Case

For a touch of elegance, a sentence case is your go-to option. With sentence case, only the first letter of the selected text and any proper nouns will be capitalized.

To achieve this, select your text, venture into the “Home” tab once more, and click on the “Aa” button with a capital “A” and a lowercase “a.” Your text will instantly transform into a refined masterpiece.

Capitalize Each Word

Titles and headings often benefit from capitalizing the first letter of each word, and Microsoft Word makes it effortless.

Select your text, glide over to the “Home” tab, and click on the “Aa” button with a capital “A” followed by lowercase “a” and “A.” Your text will undergo a majestic makeover, fit for the grandest of titles.

Toggle Case

Looking for something unique? The toggle case is the perfect blend of uppercase and lowercase letters. This style switches the case of each selected letter between uppercase and lowercase.

To give your text this dynamic flair, select it one more time, head to the “Home” tab, and click on the “Aa” button with an uppercase “A” followed by a lowercase “a.” Your text will now dance with a touch of playfulness.
