Text alignment
The alignment options are located under the Paragraph group, under the Home Tab as shown. After applying each of the alignment types, you will see the following result:
- Select the Text: Click and drag your cursor to highlight the text you want to align. If you want to align the entire document, press “Ctrl + A” to select all the text.
- Access the Alignment Options: Once your text is selected, look for the “Paragraph” section in the Home tab on the top menu. You’ll find the alignment options there.
- Choose the Alignment: Microsoft Word offers four main text alignment options:
- Left Align: This aligns the text to the left margin, creating a straight edge on the right.
- Center Align: This centers the text between the left and right margins.
- Right Align: This aligns the text to the right margin, creating a straight edge on the left.
- Justify: This aligns the text to both the left and right margins, creating a clean and even appearance on both sides.
- Click on the Alignment Option: Simply click on the alignment option you prefer. The selected text will immediately align according to your choice.
Left Alignment (By Default)
Center Alignment
Right Alignment
Justify Alignment
